Cant find the root problem

My wifes Dell w/XP Pro (SP3) is acting like its infected. Freezes, stalls, slow page refreshes, all the common symptoms. Inside Task Manager one Service Host grows and grows sucking up memory. Ive put about 15 hours into cleanup but can't find the root cause of the issues above. Various Scans follow.
